Topic overview

Stackpole

In the Spring term, Year 6 pupils get the amazing opportunity partake in a residential visit to Stackpole Outdoor Education Centre in Pembrokeshire. The pupils will stay at the centre for 5 days and have the opportunity to explore a beautiful part of Wales. They will experience many exciting outdoor activities such as rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, coastal walks and night walking. It’s an experience ex pupils rave about and encourage fantastic team building and develops self-confidence. We highly recommend that you encourage your child to attend as it’s such a wonderful experience for them.

We will be arranging a meeting to invite parents into school to share details of the trip later in the term.

Committees at Gladstone

If your child is interested in representing the school in our Eco School Committee, School Council or Values committee they will be given the opportunity to apply to become a member. At Gladstone, Pupil voice and contribution are very important and we encourage children to increase their responsibility and self confidence in these roles.
